Gardenia augusta Radicans is an evergreen, low spreading shrub with small, glossy green leaves and intensely fragrant, brilliant white flowers which appear from late spring through to late autumn. Mass plant as a groundcover beneath taller shrubs for impact in garden beds, grow along the edge of paths and driveways, or use in potted displays. Fertilise regularly during the growing season.
Soil: Slightly acidic, compost enriched, moist soil. Apply mulch to keep the shallow roots cool.
Conditions: Prefers a warm, sheltered position protected from the extreme heat of the day. Too much shade will inhibit flowering.
