Eucalyptus saligna, commonly known as Sydney Blue Gum, is a fast-growing, tall tree with mottled, cream to blue-grey bark which sheds in patches in summer and autumn. Young leaves are bluish-green, maturing to shiny dark-green. Clusters of fragrant, white flowers appear from late autumn to early spring, attracting local birds and bees to the sweet nectar. Saligna is a magnificent feature specimen for parks, and an ideal tree for avenue planting and farm planting.
