Crowea saligna Star Blush is an attractive shrub with a compact habit and glossy green, waxy leaves - making it a perfect choice as a small hedging plant or pot specimen. The flowers - in colours ranging from pale to hot pink - are usually quite large with some forms having flowers up to 45 mm diameter. They appear in late summer through to winter, giving the native bees a feast in time for the colder months. Mulching is beneficial to keep weeds down and to help a cool root run.
