This absolutely stunning Yellow-Stemmed Dogwood (Cornus alba sibirica) makes a bold statement during the winter months with its vibrant yellow stems. This species shows off typical leathery green leaves during the warmer months, and attractive white flowers followed by white berries in summer. The autumn foliage of this delightful shrub is golden yellow before dropping to show off the amazing coloured stems. Dogwoods are very easy to grow and require a minimum of care. They suit both formal and cottage-type gardens as specimen pieces, informal hedges or mass plantings. Note that the brightest coloured stems come from the current years’ stem growth, so a heavy prune in spring will reward you with amazing stem beauty in autumn/winter.
