Convolvulus sabatius subsp. Mauritanicus is a dense and trailing prostrate perennial with slender stems and small oval green leaves. It bears clusters of open trumpet-shaped flowers in lilac blue and it spreads quickly, making it an excellent groundcover. Its lovely trailing habit makes it useful for spillover plantings on banks, hanging baskets or in pots. Non-invasive and easy to grow for low maintenance areas as well as adding restful, cool colour to the summer landscape. Prune firmly every year or two.
