Chamaecyparis lawsoniana Blue Gem

Chamaecyparis lawsoniana Blue Gem, or Lawson's cypress Blue Gem, is a slow-growing, columnar, coniferous tree. It has blue-green feathery foliage in flat sprays with narrow white markings on the underside. With such vibrant foliage, Blue Gem is ideal as a specimen as well as a colour contrast in the garden. It can be grown in a patio pot if kept well fed and watered regularly.

Soil: Humus-rich, well-drained fertile soil. Keep roots cool with plenty of mulch.
Conditions: Full sun. It performs best in the cooler climates
