Casuarina cunninghamiana, or River Sheoak, is an upright, rough-barked native tree and is the largest of the casuarinas. Foliage is pendulous and needle-like and covers the tree from top to bottom - making it a good windbreak. The tree is great for screening and a popular choice for erosion control.
