Something Special has a vigorous, upright growth habit, is long-lived and widely used for hedging, as a feature plant and for topiary and espalier. Camellias are hardy once established and respond well to pruning to maintain a compact growth habit.
Soil: Well-drained, slightly acidic soil. A potting mix rich with peat moss or humus is ideal when added at the time of planting.
