Camellia lutchuensis is an evergreen shrub that produces masses of sweetly fragrant, single, white flowers from winter through spring. These tiny blooms with their white petals and golden stamens contrast well with the glossy, dark green foliage. Camellia lutchuensis is grown as specimen, clipped into a hedge, added to a mixed planting, used in cottage or “white” gardens, planted around outdoor living areas, or used as a backdrop for smaller plants.
