English Box (Buxus sempervirens) is an evergreen, hardy, small to medium size hedge. It is dense growing with small deep green foliage which makes pruning easy as the plant looks neat immediately afterwards. English Box is often used to create a formal garden, clipped to all shapes of topiaries and suitable for pots. The best height for English box is between 0.5m and 1 metre as the taller it grows it can lose its neat, dense shape. Fertilise during Spring and prune as required to maintain form.
