The Banksia burdettii is a stunning medium-sized shrub displaying flowers that are commonly used in indoor decoration and cut flower displays. The lovely orange, acorn-shaped flowers stand out against the bushy green foliage and provide the perfect food source for nectar-loving birds and insects during the hot summer months. The stand-out blooms are used extensively for the cut flower trade, producing approx 150 flowers per shrub. Plant burdettii as a low windbreak or screen. A quality native fertilizer is recommended during spring and a good prune to encourage a denser growth habit.
