Aucuba japonica variegata, also called the Gold Dust Tree or Japanese Laurel, is a compact shrub featuring vibrant, large, glossy leaves on yellow to green stems. When both male and female plants are nearby, the female produces red fruit that persists through winter. Ideal for shaded corners and dappled light under trees, it serves as an excellent background in a shrubbery but should be shielded from intense sunlight.

Soil: Well drained but moist, fertile soil.
Conditions: Mulch to retain moisture, water in hot/dry periods. Feed with blood and bone in spring or summer. Tolerates neglect but benefits from a hard spring prune for denser growth.
Size: Height 2m x Width 1.5m
