The Norfolk Island Pine is a large, stately evergreen tree with a distinctive pyramidal shape. Distinctive tiers of whorled, horizontal branches radiate outwards from the strong trunk with regularly spaced, scaled, densely-arranged leaves of dark green. This species is used as a feature in large gardens and paddocks but can be used in avenues, windbreaks, and indoor or outdoor pots - particularly as a Christmas tree.
Soil: Adapts to most soil types but does not like waterlogged soil.
Conditions: Prefers a full sun or part shade position. Tolerates wind, coastal conditions, drought and light frost.
