Acca sellowiana Mammoth, commonly known as Pineapple Guava, is a popular feijoa variety due to its large fruit and good yields of tasty fruit in autumn. It is a strong-growing plant that forms a large bush and typically fruits from late-autumn to early-winter. It produces beautiful red flowers from late-spring to mid-summer followed by medium to large-sized fruit with sweet, soft, juicy, and slightly gritty pulp. Feijoa Mammoth is commonly grown for fruit production, trimmed into a hedge, used for screening, or added into a mixed planting.
