Also known as Hickory Wattle or Lightwood, Acacia implexa is a fast-growing native wattle with a rangy upright growth habit and an open crown with slender green leaves. Pale yellow ball-shaped flowers smother the crown during summer, making it a most attractive sight. The wattle adapts to most climates - seaside gardens, roadside nature strips, bushland acreage, outback stations (with some extra summer watering), tropical backyards, and highland hillsides.
