The Spanish Queen, or Sevillano Olive, has evergreen foliage and produces very large fruit - up to 13 grams - with a reasonable flesh-to-stone ratio. The fruit is coloured green - turning black when ripe. Displaying silvery-green leaves and a dense canopy, it makes a perfect ornamental tree and is very useful for screening. The small creamy white flowers are produced in late spring, followed by the fruit. Fruit production can increase if planted with Manzanillo Olivetree. The olive can be grown in large pots successfully.
