An attractive native fern, Pellaea falcata Sickle Fern features upright stems with leathery shiny dark green fronds along the midrib. Ideal as a low-growing groundcover in a fernery or shaded garden, Sickle Ferns are equally at home when grown as an indoor plant, where it will thrive without too much fuss in a well-lit room away from direct sunlight. Ensure potting mix is allowed to dry out a little between waterings as unlike most ferns, the Sickle Fern does not need constantly moist soil to grow well.
