Geijera parviflora is an elegant, weeping tree known as Wilga or Australian Willow. A slow-growing small tree from inland Australia, it has attractive drooping branches and foliage that has a strong scent when crushed. The small star-shaped white flowers occur in clusters on branched stems during winter and spring. They are followed by small globular fruits containing glossy black seeds. Wilga is a useful tree as it can be used as stock feed on farms, as a shade tree and as a street tree forΒ dry areas.
