The Rose of the West eucalyptus tree is a very decorative, dense, mallee-type tree with the largest of all the eucalypt flowers. The blooms are a spectacular red to pink-red with a diameter of 10cm. The subsequent gumnuts are a stand-out feature of this tree - the gumnuts are substantial in size, silvery in colour, and covered with a fine grey powder.
Soil: Well-drained soil. Tolerates sandy and poor soils.
