Crowea exalata Darkside

Crowea exalata Darkside is a round, compact evergreen shrub with linear mid-green leaves that are aromatic when crushed. This lovely native shrub bears masses of dark pink, five-petaled flowers at the leaf axils and blooms mainly in spring, however it can also flower sporadically throughout the year as well. Give it a light tip prune after the main flush of flowers to maintain compact growth. Darkside is perfect for rockery gardens and borders.

Soil: Well-drained soil, loam and sandy soil. Keep moist during dry periods.
Conditions: Full sun to semi shade. Frost tender. Coastal, salt and wind tolerant.
