Protea Christine is a compact protea with an eye-catching winter display of deep pink flowers that look spectacular both on the shrub and as a cut flower. Himalayacalamus porcatus, or Nepalese Blue bamboo, has a weepy growth habit with delicate, lush green foliage. The tight clumping bamboo features soft blue/white/grey coloured culms. Young shoots will emerge in spring and are very dark in colour upon emergence. Dark sheaves drop away to reveal the new powdery white culms around ten centimetres in diameter, which turn to blue-green as they mature. Nepalese Blue can be planted into narrow garden beds or maintained smaller to suit your needs, down to a minimum of fifty centimetres.

Cupressus sempervirens Swanes Golden is a vigorous ornamental cypress with a very stately, columnar shape. Featuring dense, green to golden-yellow evergreen foliage, Swanes Golden can be clipped as a hedge or screen or left to its natural elegant outline. It has rather flaky bark and produces small, spherical female cones. In formal gardens, Swanes Golden creates a majestic impact when planted along driveways and broad paths.
