Conditions: Morning sun. Protect from hot wind and hot afternoon sun. Tolerant of cool and humid climates. Frost hardy.

One of the smallest and latest flowering magnolias, Royal Star is a beautiful slow-growing shrub with a spreading, rounded habit. New leaves emerge with a bronze tint and turn a dark shiny green. Autumn leaf colours are yellow to copper. Royal Star is a deciduous shrub with masses of white, fragrant star-shaped flowers in early spring that burst from furry, grey buds. Flowers are fragrant and approx 10cm in width! Use as an informal hedge, for woodland planting schemes, courtyards and patios
Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.

Soil: Plant in a well drained and well worked soil.
Conditions: Prefers full sun but will tolerate a partially shady location. Shelter from wind to protect flowers.

A medium, hardy, evergreen shrub Leucadendron Cream Delight is a compact variety producing cheerful, bright green leaves. Flower bracts are a warm, pure cream colour later developing a soft pink tone as they age. They are ideal in mass plantings, general landscaping, native gardens, coastal gardens, rockeries, pots or as a low hedge. Cream Delight is delightful as a cut flower as the stems hold their colour for many weeks.

Soil: Well-drained soil. Water well during the first two years for the plant to establish.
Conditions: Full sun. Tolerates light frost, drought and coastal conditions.

Camellia sasquana Paradise Green Tea is a large, slow-growing evergreen shrub with leathery, dark green glossy leaves. Fragrant white blooms adorned with golden stamens appear in autumn and early winter, providing a vital food source for bees. Paradise Green Tea is not only a stunning plant - its young leaves can be harvested to make green tea. The leaves are quickly steamed, and then heated and rolled before drying. The rapid steaming process preserves the colour as well as the large amount of antioxidants. However, if tea is not your thing, plant this lovely camellia to create a beautiful hedge that can be grown to any height and it will enhance the surroundings with its smooth, evergreen leaves and pretty flowers. Tea plants also grow well in large pots or containers, but they still require acidic, well-mulched, and well-drained soil.

Soil: Moist, humus-rich soil.
Conditions: In most home gardens, the best position is in dappled shade, as it provides some protection from frosts and the hot sun, which can burn the new leaves.
Size: Height 4m x width 3m (In commercial production, the height is kept at less than 1m for easy harvesting).

Acmena Cheeky Merlot is an extremely compact shrub with a neat, dense growth habit. With lovely deep burgundy to red new growth throughout the growing season, the foliage matures to deep green. Cheeky Merlot is the perfect choice for mid-size hedging solutions or as a feature plant in native or wildlife-friendly garden designs. It can be pruned to a desired shape and size; however, pruning is rarely required due to the natural compact habit.
