Physocarpus opulifolius or Green Ninebark is a hardy deciduous shrub known for its attractive green foliage, clusters of small white to pale pink flowers in late spring to early summer, and distinctive peeling bark that adds winter interest. In autumn, the foliage takes on warm yellow and bronze tones before falling. The lobed, serrated leaves create a dense, bushy habit, making it an excellent choice for hedging and screening. Perfect for adding a splash of colour to the garden and does equally well in garden beds or containers. Fertilise when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune to shape if necessary.
