Cuphea hyssopifolia Rob's Mauve is a pretty ground cover smothered with small mauve flowers throughout the year. It is a perfect bordering plant, or potted specimen and is suited to rockeries as it is very hardy. Prune the tiny green-leaved foliage to encourage new growth and maintain shape, and fertilise with a slow-release fertiliser twice yearly.
Soil: Well-drained, well-mulched soil. A potting mix rich with peat moss or humus is ideal.
Conditions: Full sun to part shade. Wind, frost and coastal tolerant.
