Its high resistance to common tree diseases makes it a popular choice for gardeners of all levels. Chestnuts are a very attractive, fast-growing, large deciduous fruiting tree that produce clusters of scented, white and yellow flowers in spring which are followed by spiny husks containing shiny, dark brown edible nuts.
