Acacia baileyana, or Cootamundra Wattle, is an iconic Aussie native. It is easily identified by its feathery blue-grey foliage as well as the iconic golden pom pom flowers. The tree produces profuse sprays of these small globular flowers in late winter to early spring providing a striking contrast against the backdrop of the soft silver-blue foliage. This species can be used as a beautiful feature tree, paddock tree, roadside tree and is great for erosion control. They are also great as cut flower and as bird nesting habitats. Keep seperate from natural bushland as it can self-seed.
