Cupaniopsis anacardioides, commonly known as Tuckeroo, is a fast-growing Australian native tree valued for its dense shade and attractive, glossy green foliage. It forms a rounded, spreading canopy that makes it an excellent shade tree for streets, parks and home gardens. Small greenish-white flowers appear in spring and are followed in summer by decorative orange seed pods that split open to reveal bright seeds, adding seasonal interest and attracting birds. Tuckeroo is widely planted as a street tree thanks to its moderate height, neat rounded form and relatively non-invasive root system, making it well suited to urban landscapes and coastal gardens. It is hardy, low maintenance and tolerant of wind and salt, performing especially well in coastal conditions.
Soil: Prefers light to medium soils but can cope with many different soil conditions
Conditions: Sunny position to part shade. Drought and coastal tolerant. Dislikes frost.
Size: Height 8m x width 7m
