The foliage has red tinges when young and matures to a shiny dark green, with autumn foliage providing a colourful display of orange, red and maroon. Zuni produces masses of stunningly beautiful lavender-purple flower trusses that appear from summer through to autumn.
Smooth, mottled, light cinnamon brown bark adds year-round interest. Wonderful for use as a large shrub to accent the landscape or as a specimen or street tree. Pruning in winter will encourage the production of larger flower heads the following summer.
Soil: Organic rich free-draining soil
Conditions: Open, sunny position. Frost tolerant.
